The mantra, or reminder, for today is The power of presence. Our presence is palpable when our four intelligences—physical, emotional, mental and spiritual—are aligned.

Attending to your work and relationships with these four intelligences will not only allow you to get more done with ease, but also inspire an environment of calm focus and creativity. On the other hand, a frenzied mind can have ripple effects, including chaos and lack of trust, and can become completely overwhelming.

Before you begin your next action or interaction, join me for a few minutes to align your four intelligences.

Guided Meditation: Feel the Power of Presence

  1. Begin by bringing attention to your physical body. Whether you are sitting or standing, be tall and relaxed. Take a few deep breaths to invite your mind to be here with your breath and body.
  2. Connect with what’s important for you right now. Maybe it’s just to show up fully in this moment, or to be here with ease. To show up with kindness. What is most important? Connect with that, and allow your whole heart and mind to align with your body and intentions.
  3. Take a few moments to listen within. Is my body relaxed and alert? Where do I feel tension? Can I release it? Am I mentally present? What thoughts are most present in my mind right now? Just for now, can I let them go?
  4. Turning to your emotions: What am I feeling right now? Can I acknowledge and accept these emotions without judgment?
  5. Finally, ask yourself: What’s truly important to me in this moment? Am I in alignment with my values and purpose? Before you begin your action, align with your four intelligences and set a clear intention for your next action or interaction.

Return to this mantra throughout your day, particularly when it matters, like before a presentation, solving a problem, starting a new habit, or attending a networking event. Pause to unify the four intelligences and return to the power of presence.
